As a young company, it would be very easy for me to play the pity card right now. However, it fills me with great pride that my team have responded to our measures as well as they have. We have all had to make sacrifices, but without fail the whole team has put the needs of the group first. For this, and for the future survival of our company, I am so grateful. Things aren’t great, but thanks to the support of my team I am quietly confident that we can get through this.
It dawned on us fairly quickly that our revenue may dry up. Our company is focused on bringing your staff together, sharing joyful moments both with each other and with the wider community. Due to the virus, this simply isn’t possible face to face anymore. Yet as this crisis deepens, amidst uncertainty and fear, we will need each other even more. While parties, events and social gatherings are all most of us are yearning for at the moment, we must listen to the advice of those that lead us and, for the protection of the vulnerable and the wider human race, sacrifice our short term wants in favour of our long term survival.
However, the world must keep turning and for our community, our economy and our sanity, we must create pockets of order and happiness wherever we can. For this reason, Mycentivise is committed to helping our clients both new and existing to humanise this new reality for their employees.
Morale, confidence and a sense of belonging will all take a battering over the next few weeks. As much as I would love to say that I did, I do not have all of the answers to this. That said, as an Employee Engagement company, we take what we believe to be our pursuit very seriously, and we are constantly throwing ideas at each other. Think of it like a food fight, but for innovation.
The team at Mycentivise have created Mycarepackage. This will involve exciting and interesting gifts that companies can give to their staff to make life at home just a little happier in the coming weeks and months.
We are also offering Event Planning with no set dates, and no deposits. In order to give those staff with little hope, something to look forward to. Knowing that when we start to get back to normal, they have the support of their friends and colleagues, and can celebrate what will be a momentous achievement for the modern human race.
Like everything else that we do, we aim at all times to sell items either for market rate, or where our margins allow us, to pass on discounts where possible. This is not a period for making profits, this is a period for ensuring survival.
We can’t solve all of your problems, but the more we stand together (remotely of course), the stronger we will be. In light of recent situations, I believe it is my job, along with everyone at Mycentivise, to be a light in the darkness.
